Integral: let's build the next economy!
Social inequality is growing, the ecological crisis is accelerating, and our economies are failing to meet real human needs. Relying on the market won’t fix this - and neither will waiting for the state to act.
Real change is already happening at the grassroots level. Across the world, people are building commons: shared, community-led initiatives that are fair, resilient, and rooted in cooperation. The challenge has always been how to connect these efforts, protect them from market and state pressures, and grow them into something that truly works - here and now.
This is where “Integral” comes in.
After years of research, activist, author, and filmmaker Peter Joseph has released the first version of the Integral White Paper. Integral proposes:
“A federated, post-monetary cooperative economy that coordinates human activity through shared resources, transparency, open design, feedback systems, and participatory decision-making.”
In simple terms: Integral is a framework for building a connected, cooperative economy that puts people, communities, and ecosystems first - without bureaucracy, markets or money.
This upcoming event is an informative and participatory evening where we will:
• Introduce the ideas behind Integral in an accessible way
• Create space for shared understanding, critical reflection and discussion
• Begin forming working groups in the Netherlands that will actively develop and apply these ideas in practice.
